What is LISTEN?
A workshop about radio advertising. More specifically, a workshop looking at why so many people, from the most junior creative to the most senior brand manager, have so many problems with radio.
What will you do?
Listen to radio, talk about radio and write some radio.
You’ll explore how to tell a story in sound, how to hook an audience and how to incorporate product messages seamlessly into entertaining radio scripts. You’ll also look at how radio ads work and why they so often don’t. You’ll discover how to create credible characters, how to cast actors who can bring them to life, and how to make magic in the recording studio.
Or, for those who don't have to write the stuff, we run LISTEN for clients, account handlers, planners, producers and anyone else involved in making radio happen. It’s still a practical session but the emphasis is on understanding how the medium works and how you can get the best out of it through enlightened briefing and an appreciation of the craft.
